Lt. Colonel Rick Noriega, as an American veteran, would be an excellent candidate for a subcabinet position in the Veteran's Administration. Since 1998, he has served in the Texas House of Representatives. In addition to his decade of service in the legislature, Rick’s military career as deputy garrison commander of the KMTC training facility in Kabul, Afghanistan prepared him for a position in the Veteran’s Administration. His military background and time spent in the legislature give Rick all the right skills to assume a leadership position in Obama's Administration. Soldiers that risk their lives and spend long periods-of-time away from family because of the belief that it is their duty to protect our homeland, need a representative who cares. Few Texans are part of the Obama administration. That needs to change. Adding Rick Noriega’s voice to those in our nation’s capital would be a boon for us all.
